What happens to your information when a MIPACE device is lost?

How immediate link protection, the 30-day recovery period and permanent account removal work together.

MIPACE Knowledge Hub

A missing card, sticker, wristband or tag should not create uncertainty about the information behind it. MIPACE separates the physical access point from the profile and provides a clear lost-device process.

The physical device is not the profile

A MIPACE product contains its fixed link. The profile remains on the platform and is controlled through the customer account. Reporting the item lost immediately changes what that fixed link can reach.

A lost link returns to MIPACE

From the moment the report is made, a tap or scan no longer displays the assigned profile. The visitor is returned to the main MIPACE website. Other devices linked to the same profile continue to work normally.

Recovery remains possible for 30 days

The customer can select I found this device during the recovery period. MIPACE reviews that request before restoring access, which avoids automatic reactivation by somebody who merely possesses the item.

The account connection then ends

After 30 days without an approved recovery, the item is detached from the customer account and profile. Its identifier stays retired as a lost device, and its fixed link continues to open the MIPACE website.
